This 9-day itinerary combines the very best of Northern Tanzania’s wildlife circuit with a relaxing beach escape in Zanzibar. The journey covers Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater — offering exceptional opportunities to encounter the Big Five — before concluding with three nights on the white-sand beaches of the Indian Ocean.
Accommodation includes Summit Lodge (Arusha), KanKari Lodge (Tarangire area), Classic View Camp (2 nights in Serengeti), Country Lodge (Karatu), a return night at Summit Lodge, and three nights at Villa Kiva Boutique Hotel in Zanzibar.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be met and transferred to Summit Lodge. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax and prepare for your safari adventure. Arusha serves as the gateway to Tanzania’s Northern Circuit. Overnight at Summit Lodge. -
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The Tarangire River attracts diverse wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and numerous bird species. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the park to maximize game viewing time. In the late afternoon, proceed to KanKari Lodge for dinner and overnight. -
Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, drive toward the legendary Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying scenic highland views along the way. Upon entering the Serengeti, begin a game drive en route to camp. The Serengeti’s vast plains are home to abundant predators and, seasonally, the Great Migration. Dinner and overnight at Classic View Camp. -
Day 4: Full-Day Serengeti Game Drive
Today is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti. Early morning and afternoon game drives offer excellent opportunities to observe lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and large herds of wildebeest and zebra. A picnic lunch will be served in the bush, allowing extended time in the field. Return to Classic View Camp for dinner and your second overnight in the Serengeti. -
Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Highlands
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive as you exit the Serengeti and proceed toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The landscape transitions into lush highlands as you approach Karatu. Dinner and overnight at Country Lodge, set within beautiful gardens near the Ngorongoro area. -
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater floor offers one of the best opportunities in Tanzania to spot the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino. During your half-day game drive, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, flamingos, and large herds of zebra and wildebeest. After a picnic lunch, ascend the crater and return to Arusha for overnight at Summit Lodge. -
Day 7: Arusha – Fly to Zanzibar
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Villa Kiva Boutique Hotel, located along Zanzibar’s northeast coast. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax by the beach or pool. Overnight at Villa Kiva. -
Day 8: Zanzibar – Beach Leisure
Today is free for relaxation or optional activities. You may choose to enjoy the white-sand beaches, swim in the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, or arrange optional excursions such as a Stone Town tour, spice tour, or snorkeling trip. Overnight at Villa Kiva. -
Day 9: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Zanzibar International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your 9-day Northern Tanzania wildlife safari and Zanzibar beach holiday.
