Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu
After breakfast in Arusha, depart for Tarangire National Park, approximately a 2-hour drive. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and wildlife concentration along the Tarangire River. During your game drive, you may encounter lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and diverse bird species. The park’s varied terrain offers rewarding wildlife viewing throughout the year. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the park. In the late afternoon, proceed to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge, set within beautiful gardens in the Ngorongoro highlands. -
Day 2: Karatu – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for the iconic Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying panoramic highland views along the way. Upon entering the Serengeti, begin a game drive en route to your lodge. The Serengeti’s endless plains host abundant wildlife including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and large herds of wildebeest and zebra. Seasonal migration movements may enhance your experience depending on timing. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Safari Lodge. -
Day 3: Full-Day Serengeti Game Drive
Today is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti in depth. Early morning and afternoon game drives offer excellent opportunities to observe predator activity and diverse wildlife behavior. Your guide will track wildlife movements and adjust the route to maximize sightings. A picnic lunch will be served in the bush, allowing extended time in the field. Return to Serengeti Safari Lodge for dinner and your second overnight in the Serengeti. -
Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and proceed toward the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. Descend approximately 600 meters into this UNESCO World Heritage Site for a half-day game drive. The crater floor hosts one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife, offering strong chances to spot the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino. You may also encounter hippos, flamingos, hyenas, elephants, and large herds of zebra and wildebeest. After your crater exploration, ascend to the rim for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Safari Lodge, offering sweeping views over the crater. -
Day 5: Ngorongoro – Return to Arusha
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning at the lodge before descending to Arusha. Arrive in Arusha in the early afternoon, marking the end of your 5-day Tanzania Adventure Lodge Safari.
