Day 1: Zanzibar – Fly to Serengeti National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar to the airport for a scheduled bush flight to the legendary Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be welcomed by your professional safari guide and begin your first game drive en route to camp. The Serengeti is world-renowned for its expansive savannah plains, abundant predators, and the Great Migration (seasonal). Throughout the day, you may encounter lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, large herds of wildebeest and zebra, as well as a remarkable variety of birdlife. A picnic lunch will be served during your game drive to maximize time in the field. In the late afternoon, you will proceed to Tukaone Camp, a strategically located tented camp offering sweeping views over the Serengeti plains. Dinner and overnight at camp. -
Day 2: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Highlands
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti, when predators are most active and the light is ideal for photography. This additional time in the park increases your chances of witnessing dramatic wildlife interactions and diverse species in their natural habitat. Late morning, you will begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying game viewing en route as you exit the Serengeti ecosystem. The landscape gradually transitions from open plains to the lush highlands of Ngorongoro. Arrive in the late afternoon at Ngorongoro Wild Camp, situated near the crater rim area, offering a tranquil forest setting and authentic tented safari atmosphere. Dinner and overnight at camp. -
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Zanzibar
After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most concentrated wildlife areas and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater floor hosts an exceptional density of animals within a compact ecosystem, providing one of the best opportunities in Tanzania to spot the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino. During your half-day game drive, you may also encounter hippos, lions, hyenas, elephants, flamingos, and vast herds of zebra and wildebeest. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated site near a hippo pool before ascending the crater walls in the early afternoon. You will then transfer to the designated airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable Northern Tanzania fly-in safari.
