Udzungwa Mountains
Udzungwa Mountains National Park is a unique rainforest destination in southern Tanzania, renowned for its exceptional biodiversity and scenic hiking trails rather than traditional game drives. Part of the Eastern Arc Mountain range, the park is home to rare and endemic primate species, including the Iringa red colobus and Sanje mangabey, as well as diverse birdlife and lush tropical vegetation. The highlight for many visitors is the hike to the spectacular Sanje Waterfalls, which offers panoramic views over the Kilombero Valley. Udzungwa is ideal for travelers seeking adventure, nature walks, and a different perspective on Tanzania’s natural beauty beyond the classic savannah safari.
