After early breakfast in Dar es Salaam, depart by road toward Mikumi National Park, a journey of approximately 5–6 hours via Morogoro. En route, visit a traditional Maasai village near Mikumi. During this cultural experience, you will learn about Maasai customs, pastoral lifestyle, traditional housing (Manyattas), and social structure. Community members may demonstrate traditional dances, beadwork, and daily routines, offering insight into one of East Africa’s most iconic ethnic groups. After the village visit, continue into Mikumi National Park for an afternoon game drive. Mikumi’s open plains, particularly the Mkata Floodplain, are known for strong wildlife visibility. You may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, wildebeest, and lions. Dinner and overnight at TANAPA Cottage inside the park.

After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park. The park’s diverse habitats — open grasslands, acacia woodland, and riverine areas — support a wide range of wildlife. In addition to elephants and large herbivores, Mikumi is home to lions, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park to maximize wildlife viewing time. In the late afternoon, exit the park and transfer to Camp Bastian Mikumi for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning before beginning the drive back to Dar es Salaam. Arrival is expected in the early afternoon, marking the end of your 3-day cultural and wildlife safari experience.
