Located in the southern Serengeti ecosystem and within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Ndutu becomes a wildlife epicenter between December and April (calving season) and also during key migration transitions.

Day 1: Arusha – Ndutu Region
After breakfast in Arusha, depart for the Ndutu region, driving through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands before descending onto the southern plains of the Serengeti ecosystem. Upon arrival in Ndutu, begin your first game drive. Depending on the season, vast herds of wildebeest and zebra may be spread across the plains. During the calving season (December–April), thousands of newborn calves dot the grasslands, attracting significant predator activity. Dinner and overnight at Malaika Ndutu Luxury Camp, offering spacious en-suite tents and refined bush hospitality. -
Day 2: Full-Day Ndutu Migration Experience
Today is dedicated to exploring the Ndutu plains and surrounding woodland areas. The open terrain provides excellent visibility for tracking large herds and observing predator-prey interactions. During calving season, daily births attract lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals. Outside calving months, Ndutu remains a crucial migration corridor and supports diverse resident wildlife including giraffes, elephants, and abundant birdlife. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the bush to maximize time in the field. Return to Malaika Ndutu Luxury Camp for dinner and overnight. -
Day 3: Full-Day Ndutu Game Drive
Another full day allows deeper exploration of the Ndutu ecosystem, including areas around Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek. These soda lakes attract flamingos and other water birds, adding scenic contrast to the open grasslands. Your professional safari guide will adjust game drive routes based on herd movements and predator sightings to optimize wildlife encounters. Dinner and overnight at Malaika Ndutu Luxury Camp. -
Day 4: Ndutu – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
After an early breakfast, depart Ndutu and proceed toward the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Descend approximately 600 meters into this UNESCO World Heritage Site for a half-day game drive. The crater floor hosts one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife and offers strong opportunities to spot the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino. After a picnic lunch near a hippo pool, ascend the crater and return to Arusha in the late afternoon, marking the end of your 4-day luxury Ndutu migration safari.
